Senior Auditor

JOB DESCRIPTION

POST TITLE: SENIOR AUDITOR

SALARY POINT:                  

POST NO:  1802 0101

RESPONSIBLE TO: Designated Seniors

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

1. Responsible for the overall management of audit tasks relating to a team of auditors

2. Provide professional guidance and supervision of staff and coordinate their work

3. Undertake more specialized audit assignments and special investigations as a team leader or individually

4. Oversee the development and implementation of audit plans

5. Discuss findings with audited organizations and prepare relevant audit reports

6. Assist the Audit Manager in the preparation of operational plans

7. Undertake relevant surveys, assurance assignments, special reviews, investigations, analytical reviews, etc. of complex nature under supervision and direction

MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Completion of all stages of any IFAC member institute of Chartered Accountancy or certified chartered accountancy qualification including ACCA with at least 3 years relevant post qualifying experience; or

Relevant special degree in accountancy/auditing/finance with at least  3 years relevant post-qualifying experience; or

5 years satisfactory experience and proven competencies as an Auditor in the Office of the Auditor General
